Current fundraiser
For over 40 years, Open Door Youth Services has been a safe haven for vulnerable youth in Floyd and surrounding counties. We provide emergency shelter, long-term residential care, and vital support for children and teens experiencing abuse, neglect, homelessness, or family crisis. Today, we’re building toward our future and we need your help to get there. Following recent changes to our lease at the Pine View Government Center, we are preparing to relocate our youth shelter.

Thanks to a $500,000 matching grant, every dollar you give will go twice as far in helping us reach our goal. We’re actively exploring both renovation and new construction options, and your support will directly fund:
-
Secure a permanent, stable location for our youth shelter and support services.
-
Renovate key areas for safety, accessibility, and trauma-informed care.
-
Maintain full licensing and uninterrupted service.
-
Unlock $500,000 in matching funds by reaching our community fundraising goal.

This campaign is about more than a building, it’s about protecting the only emergency youth shelter in Floyd County and ensuring no child is ever turned away in their time of need.
Help us build what’s next. Help us create a shelter where healing, stability, and hope live.
ongoing needs
Many times residents in our facility arrive with only a few items packed in a trash bag. Some come to Open Door with nothing at all. These items can be purchased from our Amazon wish list and delivered to our door with just a few clicks or purchased elsewhere and dropped off at our facility.
